Why we pray for our Brides

Ever feel like your job is just… your job?
What if your work is actually the place where God wants to meet you? Where He wants to partner with you? Where He wants to shine through you?
We believe it is. Really, we try to make it shape everything we do at Neufeld Novias.
We’re a bridal boutique. We design dresses, meet with brides, take measurements, manage the not-so-glamorous business side of things, and yes — sometimes get emotional over lace (ok, maybe lots of times).
But what people don’t always see: we try to pray a lot. We try to ask God to lead every decision. We honestly don’t want to do any of this without Him. And we say "try" because, to be honest with this as well, we're not perfect.
We don’t believe in keeping God in a corner. Not in a quiet time. Not in a building. Not just on the weekends or weeknights.
He’s the One who gave us the creativity. The opportunity. The energy and clarity to even run this business.
Why would we leave Him out of it?
Sadly, too many Christians live segmented lives. Church here. Work over there. Maybe a little prayer in the car between meetings.
But if Jesus is Lord, He’s Lord of it all. And that includes our Monday morning.
Work isn’t less holy than ministry. And business can be one of the most powerful ways to serve God and serve others.
So…you don’t need a pulpit to have a calling.
Paul didn’t say,“Whatever you do—except admin tasks and emails—do it for the Lord.”
He said:“Whatever you do, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
That includes writing contracts. That includes cleaning the bathroom. That includes brainstorming a new design and balancing the books.
We want to be the kind of Christians who live our faith. Not just talk about it. Not just post about it, but live it (preaching to myself too as I literally am writing this post now)
With God in the center of our ideas, our work, our creativity, our customer service. That’s what we think faith in business should look like.
You don’t need to start a bridal boutique to live like this. You’ve got your own gifts. Your own space. Your own calling.
God made you on purpose. He wired you with talents, quirks, instincts, and dreams. They’re not random.
And when you walk those out with Him? That’s where real meaning lives.
Let’s stop treating faith like it belongs in a box. Let’s live whole, integrated, full-hearted lives. Let’s bring Jesus into the everyday.
Into the business. Into the meetings. Into the artistry. Into the mess.
Let’s be the light. Not just on Sundays. But all week long.
And yes we do pray for our brides, the ones we’ve met and the ones we haven’t yet.
With you in it,
Zach & Raquel
